All work together. All are beyond friendly and helpful. The place in clean and well decorated. The food excellent. I forgot to photo our food. We ordered standard breakfasts and two specials Irish omelet made with corned beef hash and potato patties. Both were excellent. Coffee good. A special call out for the Eurograin toast which was the best toast Ive had in a while. Home made strawberry preserves with every order of toast too! ”

“ Halfway is a local institution. Ive never had anything bad there. My last visit was breakfast, and it was classic American deliciousness. Everything perfectly cooked. Pro tip get the chicken tenders. Its been about a year since Ive had them, so unless theyve changed Halfways tenders are some of the best Ive ever had, anywhere. I really mean that, and for context, Ive eaten all across this country, from Honolulu to Los Angeles to Dallas to Chicago to Savannah to New York City, and much much more. Their tenders are, perhaps, arguably the best Ive ever had. No frozen GFS strips here. Try them and thank me later! ”

“ Its been probably close to a decade since Ive been here. Waking in around 845 on a Friday, it was great to see that it had changed, but for the better. It still holds its characteristically quant charm, while having a modern bit of lighting to make it easy on the eyes. Our server was amazing, both friendly and efficient in her work, and had that bit of charm and sass one would hope to get from a small down diner type establishment. I had the rancher omelette, and my girlfriend had the I love you more biscuits and gravy. She was blown away at the portion, easily able to get breakfast and possibly two other meals out of the left overs. She loved it. I too was more than surprised at the size of the omelette, which, along with the hash browns and toast made for quite the filling meal. We will definitely be back again, and highly recommend making a stop if youre passing by. ”

“ Nice, quaint little small town location! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and prompt. They had a nice little booth for me in the corner for one person. The pricing wasnt bad at all either. I believe I got the Western omelette. There are no steps or anything to enter the building so that is nice for the elderly or handicapped. Great place to talk about politics with your old buddies on the Saturday mornings. The one thing I would change is when she brought me the food, the jelly was only any small cup, they didnt have any jelly at the table. That would be the one thing I would change. ”

“ Went to eat here on my lunch break and I enjoyed the Swiss Burger with fries onion rings! The waitress was a sweetheart her name was Kat. Kat came to our table numerous times, had a pleasant attitude 1010 recommend Halfway Diner! ”

“ We eat here at least once a week. This is the best home cooked food we have ever had. Over the last year we have come to make this a weekly tradition for us. The staff is amazing. We have become very known to them. We walk in and they know our routine. Good morning, Ill grab your coffee and Diet Coke and Kat will be right with you. They have all made us feel like family! We listen around us and its the same for the others! I highly recommend this family to become yours as well! The food is absolutely amazing!! ”

“ Great service, fantastic food! This place was a well oiled machine. The staff was on point, right there when you need them but not buggy. The fish fry was great both perch and pollock. Every other customers food looked awesome and it seemed everyone was happy. We will definitely be back soon! ”

“ I had the pleasure of visiting here twice in two days, and this place had me mostly impressed! The service on the first day was shoddy brought me the wrong toast, the wrong eggs, and took 43 minutes to bring me onion rings. The service on the second day was spectacular among the best Ive ever received, and it more than makes up for yesterday! The food was distinctly above average with some real gems! I really liked the Heavenly Hash with real cheddar. The breakfast potatoes here are AMAZING! The bacon was just right, and thats just great because Im very picky. The pancakes carried a strong vanilla flavor, so if you like that perfect. The Maple Syrup was boring they should really invest in some high quality Amish Maple Syrup. The normal stuff is not good enough for these great pancakes! The omelette we tried was pretty good too. Nice and neat with a lot of variety in the menu from which to choose. We also tried the Corn Beef Hash which was better than most! The french fries are BAD. Sorry. But their chili really brought them to life! About the onion rings I appreciate the light batter tempura style because other restaurants overbatter them, but the taste was good. Sadly, the onion rings are structurally floppy and made them gross to handle. Despite their light batter, they were still very greasy to the stomach, unfortunately. As for value, everything is just barely too expensive to make me happy. The entrees need to drop by about a buck, and the fact that their low quality diner coffee is 2 is DUMB. In summary, I plan to come back because the service on day 2 was exemplary and the food was distinctly above average. ”
